Canopy Schoolhouse is a small, intentional school where learning happens through wonder, nature, and deep human connection.
Our Story
Canopy Schoolhouse was founded by educators who believed that children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and genuinely engaged. We built an environment rooted in trust, where the outdoors is a classroom and every child's pace is honored.
Nestled in a wooded setting, our campus invites exploration, quiet reflection, and the kind of collaborative play that makes ideas stick. We are small by design, so every child is known by name, not just by grade.

How We Teach
We believe learning is not a performance. Our three core principles shape every classroom, every conversation, and every child's journey through Canopy.
Academics, emotional development, creativity, and physical wellbeing are woven together. We teach children, not just subjects.
The natural world is our most enduring teacher. Daily time outdoors is not a reward, it is part of the curriculum.
Families, teachers, and children are all part of the learning community. Open communication is our foundation.
What We Offer
Each program is thoughtfully designed for the developmental stage it serves, never rushed, always attentive.

Family Stories
My daughter used to cry every morning before school. Now she asks to go on weekends. That says everything I need to say about Canopy.
The teachers here know my son in a way no school ever has. They notice when something is off, when he is excited, when he needs space. It is remarkable.
Canopy gave my kids permission to be kids while also becoming thoughtful, capable, curious people. I could not have designed a better childhood for them.
